Hisory is Repeating itself. And we are Living in a state of self denial

Resurgent Pak Army offensive against militant Taliban will do no good but fuel the wave of terrorism across Pakistan.

Let me repeat it will only embolden Taliban.

Both army and government should look for the real player of the game. Taliban are just ‘Proxies’.

Despite analyzing whether it is Taliban on their own attacking army, destroying government places, schools or is there any hidden power behind them. We in return are shelling on Swat mercilessly regardless of the victim. and unfortunately in this fight the victims are common people.

Interior minister is on record saying (unwillingly) that India Is supporting terrorism in NWFP and Balochistan.

Here so many genuine questions arises.

1. When we have the proof of Indian involvement in creating unrest in Pakistan then on what basis President Zardari claimed that India has never been the source of danger for Pakistan?
2. Why is Pakistan not curtailing the Indian support to Taliban and miscreants?
3. Why is Pakistan not bringing the real culprits to limelight?

The recent attacks on Taliban is not the solution of the problem its like removing the secondaries of cancer but leaving the main tumor uncured. In this nine day operation (still continue) army claimed to have killed 781 militants. Is there any proof that all dead were militants and how can one distinguish between miscreant and innocent. Armed forces are shelling from the distance proximity of more than five km. so how can forces make sure that the shell is hitting the desired target and not the house neighbor to it.

Unfortunately we didn’t learn anything from history!

When US attacked on Vietnam in ‘1965’ (Operation Rolling Thunder). China and Russia started supporting Vietnam morally and with arsenal. While on the other hand US kept killing Vietnamese who were engaged in war rather than stopping the supply line. And the result was total defeat.

In ‘1979’ Russia the other super power assaulted Afghanistan. US, middle eastern countries and Europe engaged Russia in the war, with the pivotal support of Pakistan, that lasted till the Russia was hacked to pieces. But the most interesting point is, despite the active support of west, Russia never attacked on Pakistan. As it has just been revealed (in Russia’s declassified papers) that she never had any intention to annex Pakistan at all.
In 1970 when mujeebur rehman won election. And demanded for its constitutional right to head the government. Z A Bhutto and Establishment (Majority of west Pakistan) showed reluctance and started a brutal army operation to suppress Bengalis. India took the advantage of the situation and provided Bengalis with arms, Guerilla training and moral support. But despite resolving the unrest politically Pakistan increased the numbers of soldiers there. And at the end surrender of Seventy thousand Soldier.

Now again the Pakistan is in the same vicious cycle. First of all we fallaciously engaged ourselves in this war on terror. And for those who claim it be our war, my question is, if it is our war then why didn’t we realize it until before 2006 (Pakistan moved its army in Waziristan in 2006). Now our army is engaged fighting with our own people. And India supporting Taliban and Baitullah Mehsud. And once again despite looking for a feasible political solution we are using force mercilessly. creating more dangerous situation than Befor.

This is political Government and Government should handle it politically.

Pakistan Army at crossroads.

With the total loss of 30 billion dollars, sacrifice of three thousand soldiers and civilian casualty of more than ten thousand. Pakistan stands on top of the list who are affected by the war on terror. And yet American administration accuses Pakistan of not doing enough in the war.

This might be true because Pakistan has its own genuine reservation regarding war on terror.
What these reservations are, and why Pakistani agencies have soft corner towards afghan Taliban, let’s analyze.

From its independence Pakistan feared danger from India and unfortunately geographically it’s not too wide. That an f16 can easily cross it in 5 to 8 minutes. Creating danger for Pakistan’s nuclear assets. This created the term strategic depth. According to this pro Pakistan government in Afghanistan was strategic depth for Pakistan. Hence Pakistan’s nuclear assets has to be as far away from India as possible. But the dilemma was that not a single government in Afghanistan existed which was pro Pakistan other than Taliban. Rather they had close ties with India. Pakistan shares 1700 km of its border with Afghanistan. Making it virtually impossible to do surveillance. Due to this Pakistan had the jeopardy of Indian insurgency in Pakistan’s NWFP and Balochistan. But one has to admit it that afghan governments followed the policy of “ No disturbance in Pakistani tribal areas”. But after the American invasion Karzai government gave Indian intelligence agent to operate freely under the cover of diplomats.

Pakistan had become the sandwich between India and Pakistan. Now this panicked Pakistan. Pakistani agencies informed America of the situation. But having seen the interest from America. Pakistani agencies started supporting afghan Taliban to fight against India.

Another reason to withdraw from Americas war on terror was that the overwhelming majority of Pakistani people and leader consider it to be Americas war. Only a few support it.

To get support of Pakistani people America had to make it pakistans war. And to do this America brought this war on Pakistans soil. And in this wicked plot some top influentials in Islamabad helped America. Lal masjid was an example. Taliban are actually fighting the proxy war of America but they even don’t have the slightest idea of this. And they are used. That’s why America didn’t hit Baitullah Mehsud despite accurate intelligence about his position was provided to America.

Now America is blackmailing Pakistani security forces on the name of Pakistani Taliban. But Pakistani armed forces seemed to have rejected all clandestine pressure.

This is the most crucial time for Pakistani army to support Afghan Taliban and eradicate Pakistani Taliban.
